Here are a couple more videos of Wesley and his antics. I had a little more fun with the second one (titles, etc). Enjoy!

11 Months Old
Wesley is 11 months old this week. We think he can say 'light' now, along with 'da da', but it's hard to get repeatable results. Here are some pics:
Daddy took a new job with Chevron this week, but had to show up with a cooking injury (severed middle finger tendon). Here is the latest torture device from the physical therapist, which is worn during waking hours...please don't take offense!

Climbing the stairs
Here is a little test - I'm posting a video of Wesley climbing the stairs. It's about a minute long and should play within the browser window when you click on 'Play'. Sorry about the mediocre quality, but that's what happens when you want it to download quickly! Let me know how it works!

Bath Time!
Wesley is so mobile these days! He can climb the stairs in about a minute and will be out of sight in the blink of an eye if you turn your head. He loves to stand up on the furniture, but most of all, he loves his baby wash bottles.

Coming upstairs for bath

Here I am!

Mmm...I love baby wash

I'm also a ham for the camera!

I love faucets too!

Where's my baby wash?

Happy boy in the bath

9 Months Old
Wesley is nine months old! Can you believe it? At his doctor visit this week he was 31 1/2 inches tall and 26 lbs 5 oz. Still off the charts! Can you say NFL?
We've been busy the past few weeks. First, Mama and Daddy spent a weekend away on the Pacific coast of Panama for their ninth anniversary. Grandmere babysat for the weekend and survived! Understandably, there are few pictures to document Wesley's time with Grandmere.
The following weekend we went Grandmama's house for lunch. Here are some pictures:

Let's see...what can I get into?

Looking like a bull with keys in his mouth
This weekend, we went to Uncle Brent and Aunt Kristy's house to swim and have lunch.

Sitting with Aunt Kristie and Cousin Sadie

Practicing for New Braunfels with Mama and Grandmama
In other news, Wesley received his passport last week so he's ready for an international adventure!

Crawling!
These milestones are coming fast...almost too fast! Wesley has been crawling like a champ since this weekend. Here are some pictures

Ready or not...here I come!

Playing with his first grocery store balloon
We went to Ruston for July 4th weekend. Wesley swam, swam, swam! He also got to go on a boat ride.

Swimming with Grandmere

Jumping to Mama from the side

Swimming in the hot tub with Grandpop. The temperature was turned down to about 90 degrees.

Drying off

Hanging out on the patio wearing one of Uncle Richard's old outfits (a Grandmere original)

Having his first taste of watermelon...not so sure about this stuff!

8 Months and New Tricks
Wesley turned eight months old a little over a week ago. This week, he is full of new tricks. He is now pulling up to sitting from his tummy. He started this on Monday night, so Mama and Daddy quickly lowered the mattress in his crib so he won't tumble out. Then today, this:

Scary! I caught him in the act...sitting by the rail with one arm holding the top, then the other, then....standing! No parental assistance at all!
He's not really crawling yet, but is content scooting around military-style on his belly. We'll see how long that lasts!

Home again
We made it home last night after a long 13-hour travel day going by boat, car, and plane. Everyone made it fine and we are glad to be home.
Here are a few more pictures from the trip:

Sand - the perfect snack. Wesley ate plenty with no ill effects!

Rub-a-dub-dub...get all this sand off of me!

Mama fighting off a goat attack at lunch. Thankfully all it got was the lime from her drink.

Naptime - island style

Another Day in Paradise
We visited Hawksnest Beach yesterday morning and Mamma and Daddy went to dinner alone while Grandmama watched Wesley. This morning, we went to Trunk Bay for a little snorkeling (only Daddy and Grandmama) and then lunch in Cruz Bay at The Lime Inn.

Everyone likes to read on vacation

Drinking sand...mmmm

Wesley loves to show off his teeth!

Part Fish?
Wesley must be part fish. There is no other explanation. He loves to swim. As soon as we put him in the water, those little legs start kicking away. He is just so happy in the pool.
On Sunday we swam a lot in our little pool. At least three times. After breakfast, we had a morning swim, lunch in town, then an afternoon swim and a before-dinner swim - the little fish was just going to stick his feet in, and then ended up sitting and splashing on the step, clothes, diaper and all.
Monday we got an early start after morning nap to the beach - Maho Bay. Wesley loved his first trip to the beach - except for getting sand & sunscreen in his eyes. But he loved playing in the sand, throwing it, splashing in the (calm) ocean, and watching the other kids play.
Hanging out on the deck with Daddy - ready to swim!

Swimming in his float.

Beach baby.

Relaxing after the beach - check out those two teeth!
